I’m Guy Cochran and thanks for visiting.

I started working with the DVcreators.net team over 7 years ago, helping lead the DV Revolution in many ways, teaching workshops in 40 cities in four countries, being featured as a trainer at most major industry trade shows from NAB to MacWorld to DV Expo, and doing consulting and training for companies from Warner Brothers, Cartoon Network, & CNN to Canon, Apple, Intel and discreet.

Now, with three kids, I have settled down a bit :) in the Seattle area and started a “sister company” to DVcreators.net called “DVeStore”.

The mission of DVeStore is to become the best resource in the world for you to purchase the gear you need to produce great digital video.

Rather than sell everything, I am being very selective, reviewing a wide range of products, trying them out in a real world setting, then rejecting most as not the best product in its price range, and only reselling the items I would buy myself. I present these items here on a silver platter for you to browse and make an informed decision on- knowing all have a solid recommendation.

I am also producing informative video demos on these products you can view at the bottom of this page, which many have said is the best resource on the internet to checking out the real scoop on DV products.

In the DVeStore you won’t find twenty models and brands of shotgun mics, you’ll find one proven great choice for each price point. It’s less confusing and makes it easier for you to decide.

    These guys know their stuff. I can’t stress that enough. When it comes to video, I’ve learned amazing amounts of useful information from them. My editing skills and video production chops are solid. I am grateful that they sell stuff. I’ve bought tutorials and equipment. I know they’ll back their products. They explain everything, have integrity and have really cool shirts.

    The store has a clean layout, the products are displayed well, there is a lot of information on each product, not to mention actual tutorials on how to use them.

    Ordering was easy, products arrived promptly, and the follow up service and attention is phenominal. Best online ordering experience ever. The DVeStore has set the bar for online service.

    I have dealt with DVCreators on many occasions. I find their products to be extremely comprehensive and well thought out. Their service is right up there with the top customer centric companies I’ve bought from. Super group of people to deal with.

    I had purchased Serious Magics Ultra2 Keying software online a few weeks ago. A day or so later I followed up with a phone call just to confirm that my order was indeed placed and on its way. The sales rep I spoke to was not only very kind and helpful. He also informed me that although I had placed my order a week or so before a new Serious Magic promotion was to take place (I had no idea there even was a promo coming) they went ahead and included my purchase in that promotion.

    So, in addition to the software I initially purchased, I also recieved some bonus software as well. This unexpected gift has literally saved me hundreds of dollars in my production costs since I was going to eventually purchase this additional software when my budget would allow!

    For a company to take that extra step in customer service (as they did) is what seperates an OK company from a Great company!

    I will definitely be purchasing from DV eStore again in the future!

    Hello,

    Late this last summer I went to DC to film the Black Congressional caucus and a rally in Lafayette park.

    At the last minute the Federal Parks department told me that their prior acceptance of my request for tripods in lafayette park had been denied- It was 6:00 pm EST the evening before departing on the 10 hour drive to DC.

    I determined I would need the Tiffen Steady stick BUT No place local carried them and NONE of the online companies could get them shipped overnight because their shipping department was already closed for the day. I was in PANIC!

    I called Tiffen direct and told a rep my situation- she informed me of Guy and the DVestore. She said they were a great company to work with and gave them many praises.

    I called- They were on the west coast and it was only 4 pm there so I thought Maybe????

    Who answers the phone?? Guy Cochran- I tell him my situation and he tells me that he will send one of his personal stash steady sticks and do it right now!!!

    Would you believe this but my friggen credit card fell behind my console just as I was ready to give the payment info!!! I couldnt find it to save my life- I felt like an idiot and told Guy I would have to call him back- 30 minutes later after moving all of my studio racks and furniture out of the way… I found the Credit card, called back really panicked now cause so much time had past that I didnt know if they would still be able to shop it-

    What do I hear from Guy?? He had already boxed it and sent a guy to UPS to deliver it to me!!!! He didnt even have my payment info yet!!!

    It arrived in perfect condition- in perfect time and all went well!!

    To anyone comparing products from store to store or site to site I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH how Guy and the DVEstore went out of their way to help me out!!!

    This is me helping the elite unit at Warner Bros. re-edit the TV show "Friends" for Hi Def. The fun part was seeing footage from top secret future Warner Bros. films and TV shows!

    Glad to see Guy in this new venture. I attended one of his trainings in Dallas, and while I learned so much about the software, I was very impressed with his vast knowledge of gear. I have followed his purchasing advice since.

    He has a great way of getting to the point and knowing how the real world works, while always striving for excellence. I’ve bookmarked his site and it will be my primary source for all things DV (and my first referral).

    Congratulations on a great site and the best place to find/purchase gear.
